Dr Matthew Gooch, Geelong Chiropractor

After graduating from RMIT university in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Health Science (chiropractic) and a Masters Degree in Clinical Chiropractic in 2012, Dr Gooch worked as a chiropractor and injury management consultant for four years, dealing predominantly with work injuries, workplace rehabilitation and return-to-work treatments for some of the largest companies Australia wide. Since that time Dr Gooch has worked in private practice in Seymour and Melbourne but now dedicates all of his time and expertise working exclusively at Shannon Avenue Chiropractic in Geelong over the past 4 years.

Dr Gooch has a special interest in sports Chiropractic, rehabilitation and injury in sport and is currently undertaking additional post graduate studies through the international federation of sports chiropractic. Matthew loves being involved in sport and has had the privileged of treating elite athletes from the  AFL and Geelong Supercats. Having played most sports and representing Victoria in athletics on a number of occasions Matthew understands the physical and mental demands on the human body and how Chiropractic can play a central role in performance and recovery.

Matthew is a 3rd generation chiropractor and has been surrounded by Chiropractic his whole life given both his father and older brother are also Chiropractors.

With a broad experience across many facets of chiropractic services, Matthew’s main areas of expertise include spinal diagnosis, spinal rehabilitation, spinal and chiropractic manipulation, exercise rehabilitation and extremity conditions of the elbow and shoulder.

Dr Gooch enjoys treating a range of conditions, from workplace injuries, to chronic disease management (CDM) and enhanced primary care (EPC) patients that are referred by your general practitioner.

Outside of the office Dr Gooch enjoys spending time with his young family, gardening, attempting to run and is a mad sports fan.
